Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Bide (the “Service”), operated by Bide (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Bide is currently available solely to residents of the United States. By creating an account you represent that you reside in the United States. We plan to expand to additional regions in the future. If you are accessing the Service from outside the United States, you must not register an account.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Bide. By creating an account you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older.

You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

You agree not to use Bide to post unlawful content, harass others, spam, attempt to access accounts that are not yours, or interfere with the Service's operation. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

You retain ownership of the content you post. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute your content within the Service for the purpose of operating Bide.

Bide is a location-aware service. When you use location features we process coordinates to determine the relevant community area. We quantize and fuzz precise location before storage; see our Privacy Policy for details.

You may delete your account at any time from in-app settings. Account deletion removes your personal information and your Firebase authentication record; your posts and comments are retained in anonymized form so that public threads remain coherent.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BIDE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will publish a new dated version and prompt you to review and accept the new version on next sign-in. Continued use after acceptance constitutes agreement to the updated Terms.
